Sam has many years of diverse commercial diving and project management experience. AUT is committed to working with you to successfully plan your project, and have a proven record of safely directing and executing complex underwater tasks.
All of our commercial dive team members hold certificates of diver competency issued in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC).
These certifications are based on the Canadian Standard Association’s CAN/CSA Z275.4 Competency Standard for Diving, and Canada Oil and Gas Diving Regulations SOR/88-600.

John has thirty plus years of welding, construction, inspection and project management experience and has been a diver for as many years.
AUT is fully committed to meet the requirements of CSA Standard Z275.2, Occupational Safety Code for Diving Operations, to ensure that our diving operations are performed safely and within your budget requirements.

Advanced Underwater Technologies has been safely completing underwater videography, preventive maintenance inspections, side scan sonar and construction and maintenance projects for the City of Calgary, TransAlta Utilities, several local golf courses and a number of Oil and Gas production companies since early spring 2010.
We have been involved in film projects completed by independent film directors, the Discovery Channel, as well as a number of advertising agencies. Our commitment to the wellbeing of our Employees, our Customers and the Communities in which we work is evident by our proven safety record which remains unrivalled in the industry.
There is no substitute for manned inspections when it comes to in-water Inspection of your assets. Our divers are certified to CSA Z275.4, Competency Standard for Diving Operations. Tactile inspections are supported with adequate equipment including non-destructive examination tools, LED lighting and HD cameras to capture the most comprehensive images.
Our commercial dive team maintains a strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols and is proud to maintain a fourteen-plus year record of zero serious injuries.
Advanced Underwater Technologies is working towards registration to ISO 45001:2018, International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) Standards, and various Class Service Supplier requirements. With our inception in 2010, we implemented a Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) Program, and maintain Workers Compensation Accounts with Alberta WCB, WorkSafe BC, as well as the Province of Saskatchewan.
